WineTalent Estate Director Search
WineTalent is working with our confidential client to find an Estate Director for a luxury Central Coast winery. The winery is a small production operation with a great winemaker and also excellent consultants for winemaking and viticulture. They are making close to 3,000 cases and have established themselves well in the area as a top destination.
This role will work to broaden the winery’s reach with consumers, VIPS and trade professionals. The Estate Director would be the "face" of the winery, handling all high-level tours and tastings, and representing the winery throughout the US (travel permitting).
The Estate Director will oversee the DTC sales and marketing while also furthering the reach of the brand throughout the nation. This position requires someone with excellent wine knowledge and a trained palate. This is also ideally a role for someone who would be bringing industry contacts with them. Part-time job assisting a contributing editor to Wine Enthusiast Magazine Wine writer and reviewer Jim Gordon has an opening for a tasting assistant to work out of his home office in Napa, CA. The role is a part-time independent contractor position. Estimated time commitment is 8 hours per week, usually spread over two days each week.
The tasting assistant manages all formal blind wine tastings for Jim Gordon, contributing editor to Wine Enthusiast magazine. The job involves handling all the wine samples shipped to him for review, entering each sample’s pertinent data into a database, setting up and cleaning up blind tastings, and communicating with wineries and members of the Wine Enthusiast team as needed.
The job is ideal for someone seeking to enter the wine business as a student, new grad or in a career change situation. Initial pay will be the equivalent of minimum wage. • Punch Downs/Pump Overs
